Beta Tau’s 130-Year Tradition Continues
For more than 130 years, the Beta Tau Chapter of Delta Tau Delta has been part of the Lincoln community, developing leaders, supporting academic achievement, serving others, and helping generations of members become better men.

The University has decided not to recognize Beta Tau as a Recognized Student Organization at this time. RSO status primarily provides access to certain University resources, such as reserving campus rooms, applying for event funding, participating in selected campus programs, and receiving approval for student housing arrangements. Without that designation, freshmen may not live in the fraternity house, and the chapter will not have access to those University-administered benefits.
Those limitations do not prevent Beta Tau from continuing its mission or diminish the chapter’s identity as part of Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity.
Beta Tau will continue to promote academic excellence, leadership development, personal growth, brotherhood, philanthropy, and service. Members will continue raising awareness for important causes, supporting charitable organizations such as Breakthrough T1D, participating in leadership programming, serving the Lincoln community, and developing the character and skills expected of Delta Tau Delta men.
With the support of Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity, committed alumni, and the Alumni Supervisory Committee, Beta Tau will move forward with strong oversight, meaningful programming, and a continued focus on accountability, safety, and member development.
University recognition may determine access to certain campus resources. It does not determine the chapter’s purpose, its impact, or its ability to continue a tradition that has endured for more than 130 years.
The mission continues. The tradition remains strong. Beta Tau will continue making better men.
