Nebraska Delts Attend Alumni Reception at Western Plains Conference
Many Nebraska Delts traversed the bitter cold to attend an alumni reception being held in conjunction with the Delta Tau Delta Western Plains Division Conference in Omaha. The event was held inside the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Omaha.
Hosted by the Delta Tau Delta Educational Foundation, all local area Delts were invited to the reception. Of interesting note, Former Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle (West Virginia University “67”) decked out in complete West Virginina University attire was in attendance. According to him, it was the first Delt event he had been to in 50 years!
Beta Tau Delts in attendance included:
- Brian Hamilton “72”
- Bob Woodruff “81”
- Dan Lindstrom “82”
- Chris Hove “83”
- Joe Brownell “89”
- Michael Johnson “97”
- Zack Rupiper “12”
- Dan Grossman “13”
- Kyle Hampton “13”
- Andrew LaGrone “13”
- Blake Woodruff “17”
- Henry Dobson “18”
Also in attendance was Jack Kreman, CEO of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Ross Theriault, Eastern Division President of Delta Tau Delta, and Ryan Caldwell, Beta Tau Chapter Advisor.
After their dinner, the Beta Tau undergraduate chapter officers attended and told alumni of their many great accomplishments and, in turn, heard great stories from alumni.
The Western Plains Division Conference continues throughout the weekend. Undergrads and volunteers will be learning creative programs and strategies to take back to the chapter. The conference culminates at the awards banquet on Saturday evening. Beta Tau is hoping to walk away with some awards for its programming and operations. Awards will be given out for excellence in community service, new member education, recruitment, academics, Ritual, member development, and overall chapter operations.
