Financial Expectations of Members
The chapter operates within a budget based on revenue received from members in the form of room, board, and chapter dues and expenses for rental of the facility, social activities, educational programming, recruitment, etc. A minimal amount of dues are used to cover administrative fees owed to the University for programming and security, and to our International office for administrative services, support, and programming.
A member will be billed on a regular basis through an online platform called OmegaFi. This platform will send the bills through e-mail to members and parents for payment.
If a member does not uphold his financial expectation, he negatively affects the rest of the chapter and members. The chapter then must either raise dues for all other members or cut programs and events that the other members find enjoyable and benefit membership.
Delta Tau Delta’s financial policy is also coined as 1-10-15-30. A statement is sent on the 1st of the month and it is due by the 10th of the month. By the 15th day of the month, interest will start accruing on the amount not paid. If the member remains in arrears by the 30th day of the month, he will be subject to expulsion from the fraternity. A member can rectify the arrearage by entering into a promissory note that contains a repayment plan that the member must abide by in order to resolve the arrearage.
It is important that a member keeps their commitment to the chapter and integrity in themselves by timely paying their dues.
